I am always fascinated by the firm belief of atheists that God does not exist. I and many people on this forum might have issues that need to be clarified before accepting this theory.

I don't think so.  Many atheists think they know more than us because they might be scientists with advanced degrees.  To buttress their positions, they would usually ask, "Can you prove God exists?". Sadly,  I can't.  However, our knowledge of how thing works tells us that nothing creates itself.  Therefore there might be something  or someone behind the creation of the universe.

I kind of agree. In fact, many atheists believe in science.  The problem is that they can't prove that God does not exist either.  That means, the belief that God does not exist is based on faith not science.
